Day 01: Arrive Hyderabad
On your arrival in Hyderabad you will be met up and assisted by our Indian Horizons representative who will receive and transfer you to the hotel. After freshening up, proceed to make a full day city tour by visiting the Alukuma Palace, Salar Jung Museum and Charminar. Anandha Vihara an imposing modern Temple dedicated to Lord Buddha & opened by Dalai Lama is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. visit the Grand Monolith figurine of Lord Buddha on Buddha Poornima. Overnight stay is offered in Hyderabad along with a tantalizing dinner.
Day 02: Hyderabad - Nagarjuna Sagar
morning after tea and breakfast, drive to Nagarjuna Sagar (155 kms / 3 hrs) and check into a hotel. uncover the Anupu ruins, the Amphi-Theatre, Viharas & Chaityas and numerous other inspiring Buddhist leftovers of the place. Overnight at Nagarjunakonda. dinner.
Day 03: Nagarjuna Sagar
morning, a boating excursion tour and visit to the serene Nagarjuna Konda Island Museum after tea and breakfast. Located at the centre of a man-made lake, Nagarjuna Konda is one of the dazzling Buddhist civilizations of 3rd century AD. Excavated sites are carefully preserved on a picturesque island which gives a meaning to your tour. In the evening return to Nagarjuna Sagar. Overnight at Nagarjunakonda.
Day 04: Nagarjunasagar - Vijayawada
Today proceed to Vijayawada (200 kms / 4 hrs) enroute explore Amravati Museum and Stupa. Overnight at Vijayawada.
Day 05: Vijayawada
After breakfast, a full-day guided tour to Bhattiprolu and Ghantasala Buddhist stupas. Neelamkondapalli & Jagayapeta stupas filled with inscriptions from the Mauryan era are the worth visiting places of the state. Afternoon visit the beautiful Undavalli Caves and back to hotel for dinner. Overnight at Vijayawada
Day 06: Vijayawada - Out
